Last vestiges of nature

  1. In ancient times Kwesan hunters and gatherers danced themselves into a trance. In this dream state they entered the spirit world - often to fetch the rain animals. Good rains meant plenty of while fruit, berries and roots, and good grazing for the wild animals that were hunted. Rain animals often appear in the rock art of ancient kwesan commnities.
